Would recommend: YES!

I really loved this book, and I don't even like or play video games. I appreciate how the author basically wrote an homage to everything geeky about 80s pop culture, video games, and the science fiction genre. It is SO well done, and yeah, definitely geeky. But at the heart of it, it's a really good adventure story. It's good versus evil, heroes and villains, action scenes and plots, all in a world of the author's creation. Read it!

Or, better yet, listen to it! The audio version is read by Wil Wheaton. WIL WHEATON. And if that has no meaning to you, well, I don't even know what to say about that.
