Guess I’m on a nostalgia kick lately. Read this bad when I was 10/11. It was the first book I’d ever read of its kind. Up until this point I had only read A LOT of junie b jones, babysitter’s club, and other small chapter books like that. (Aside from Harry Potter, which I had started reading a couple years prior.) I’d never read a book with a major character death. I’d never read a book that’s dystopian. It was just really fun and a great introduction to more complicated storytelling! Definitely recommend for younger readers!
