I think this would have been better if told from 3rd person POV rather than first! I never really understood the Darkling’s character or motivation, and Mal and Alina were never compelling characters to me. I also had a hard time understanding the world building and the different Grisha powers. Giving 4 stars for the vibes of it all and the fact that it is YA and clearly not written for me anyway!
