Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

5.0

Hyped. And rightfully so.

I am such a sucker for a story wherein the characters have some kind of "power", and I didn't know this book was one of those. Can you imagine my glee when I found out?

Reds are normal people. They are looked down upon because of that. They are slaves. They bleed red.

Silvers are the privileged - from controlling the elements, healing, impossible strength, speed, and so much more - they are the ones with power. They're like gods. They bleed silver.

Clear distinction.

Easy to understand.

But Mare is Red AND Silver. Apparently, stronger than both. And there's more like her. Aaaahh, my heart!

Red Queen was one of the books on my to-read list I was very excited to dive into. I didn't know its plot before picking it up. It has a pretty cover and it is hyped; that was all I knew at that time. Even so, I had high expectations, and they were met.

I just found another series to love.
