Animal, Vegetable, Junk: A History of Food, from Sustainable to Suicidal by Mark Bittman

informative tense

4.0

Touches on really important concepts in food systems and global food history, does not shy away from difficult subjects. Wish suicide wasn't in the title and though personal health and responsibility wasn't a huge theme, the last couple chapters felt too Michael Pollan-ish (may be a plus to others) for my taste.
