The Replacement by Jason Pellegrini
3.0
What I Did Like:
+The opening chapter grabs your attention well. The character is interesting and what he’s obviously experiencing in the opening chapter is intriguing.
+The tension and high stakes set the pace of the story. You want answers and you follow the clues right along with the detectives. It’s a satisfying, if twisted, case.
+The ending (ignoring the epilogue that we didn’t need, in my opinion) is a good ending for the main character. I like where we left him and I like the way it sort of all came back to one important moment.
Who Should Read This One:
-Fans of detective novels who enjoy a loose cannon type character chasing their bad guys and not always following rules will like this one.
My Rating: 3 Stars
