3.5 Stars!
Whenever I pick up an Emily Henry book, I always know I’m going to get two things:
1. some really good banter
2. a romance that feels real
...and once again I was not disappointed. People We Meet On Vacation is a story about two people who are too opposite to fall in love, so friendship is allowed to bloom. An homage to When Harry Met Sally, which I haven't seen (I know, criminal) But there is romance none-the-less, and also grappling with what could happen if you ruin the friendship.
I will say that this isn’t my favorite Emily Henry novel, but she is a solid writer and a reliable writer. You feel as if she knows what she is talking about when she writes these romances, as they are realistic and their development is well founded. They feel adult as well, which for someone who still scratches that romance itch with YA fantasy novels or Romantasy, is really refreshing. Solid read!
