I really enjoyed many pieces of this book. This was Vonnegut's 2nd published work and I think you can really feel that. His satirical humor is there, even if not quite timed right. His depressing plot lines are there, though maybe a bit more saddening then enlightening in how they reflect on humanity. His characters are so close to feeling real... but somehow are a bit too one note to quite be there. It just is everything verging on what I enjoyed about the 2 Vonnegut works I've enjoyed so far.
If you are interested in Vonnegut, this wouldn't be the place to start in my opinion.
