This book was so good. I loved the narration by the author; it made me feel like this was the most raw and honest fictional depiction of a character that I've read in a while because it felt like I was listening to a memoir. I loved the non-linear journey through Jonny's story, the way that the past and present blended together and layered in his experiences. The prose itself was just gorgeous even when it was very in-your-face, it reminded me a lot of A History of My Brief Body by Billy-Ray Belcourt as I was listening, and it was a pleasant surprise to hear that author's name in the acknowledgements. Really great work, very much looking forward to reading more by this author.
