The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness
5.0
The finale to the trilogy was everything I wanted it to be. Everything came together from the previous two books but not in an artificial or forced way. I loved watching the evolution of Diana and Matthew's relationship: in book one so dominated by Matthew's vampire instincts and in the end saved by Diana's strength - both of character and magical prowess.
Filled with characters you root for, a plot that pulls you along with it, and enough action in the last book to carry a spy movie, I'd highly recommend this series to anyone even mildly drawn to the fantasy genre.
