A Touch of Poison is an emotional ride but also an action-packed one with epic and intense battles Kat and Bastian need to face.
It started right after the ending of A Kiss of Iron, I suggest re-reading the 1st book if you forgot what happen there so you can follow the plot better.

What I like the most from this sequel is the major character development on Kat’s character. She’s really grown into a strong and capable woman after a lot of hardships she went through - trying to control her new unexpected power.
The writing style is also really good, it’s able to convey Kat's feelings perfectly – the sadness, the despair, the longing, the anger and love.

There’s also the sexy morally grey MMC – Bastian. The dual POV let me get to know his character better through his thoughts and actions. He’s been through a lot and despite all that he’s always been supportive to Kat and wants what best for her.

I also like how the story itself is expanding with the addition of new characters, new mystery to solve as well as exploring new territories.
I was really intrigued upon hearing two different courts ruling the same place and my curiosity was sated with the information given throughout the story.

I was really excited when Sepher and Zita made an appearance, if you’re interested in reading their story then pick up Slaying the Shifter Prince (a standalone). Although, I must warn you that it's a lot spicier compare to this series.

Overall, this is a fantastic sequel and worth the wait. I devoured this book in just 2 days (despite how thick it is) because it was very hard to put down!
I’m really looking forward to read the final book of this series especially after that huge cliff-hanger at the end!

Thank you to Book of Matches Media and author for giving me an e-ARC of the book and for having me on this book tour. I’m leaving this review voluntarily!
