Another grad school read for my summer course that I feel needs few of my own thoughts.
Here's what I will say. When I read this in high school, I remember not connecting with this text at all, which is wild to me reading it now and seeing the class striving my own family was attempting around this time in my life. In the context of my class experience, I also had my mindset completely rocked around reading the ending as a cheesy "and it all worked out" conclusion when these folks are literally moving somewhere they could be killed or bombed out of. Please tell your English teachers to be good scholars of text.
