Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty

3.0

I really dislike 'checklist' and I really hate self help and crystals and reiki and all of that (and I say this lovingly) nonsense, but somehow, despite loads of other people who love Liane Moriarty's work hating this book, I quite liked it. I think I liked it mainly for the character of Frances who I found funny and charming and down-to-earth. Everybody else bar the teenage girl is a bit of a dick.

The plot is nonsense, there really is no suspense in this novel and the writing is so-so but I still really liked it and I have absolutely no clue why I liked it, or why I even bought it in the first place. It seems like the kind of book I would hate.
