This book was totally unexpected to me! I've heard many good things about it and decided to give it a shot, expecting it to be a bit meh, but I really enjoyed it! I always have a hard time with novellas, so the rating would always suffer because of that, but I did really like it!
Murderbot is so quirky and fun, I love that it just wants to be watching TV and have people leave it alone. I also love how this explores the side of sentient droids that are mostly ambivalent but also can't quite seem to shake that little bit of empathy, even if it would deny that's what is happening.
Lots of fun, poignant and funny and very refreshing.
