I absolutely loved reading Get a Life, Chloe Brown! I’d had this book on the back of my radar for a while and finally decided to pick it up, and wow am I glad I did. It was absolutely not what I was expecting with the level of raunchiness but I can’t say I hated it haha. I especially found that the elements from Red’s perspective got a little hot under the collar at times. The way that Hibbert was able to turn the mood so smoothly in just a sentence was crazy.

I loved that the story had a plus sized woman being appreciated for who she was. Appreciated for her thighs and her stomach and everything about her, not in spite of that. All of the characters were pretty believable and very loveable. Honestly I just couldn’t put the book down.

I took off half a star because I wasn’t particularly convinced by the last few chapters with the final conflict. It all happened so quickly and it felt to me that Red was acting very out of character, especially with some of his inner dialogue. The resolution was great, but it wasn’t the most perfect romance ever.

Overall, I really do think this book deserves the hype it’s been getting and I think Hibbert is an amazing writer. I can’t wait to pick up the next two books in the series!
