Crown of Souls by Ronie Kendig

3.0

I'm invested in this series.
As a Christian fiction novel, I expect it to be better than mainstream books. Although some words I can overlook because of its mildness, I become annoyed with the f-word substitution. There are ways to express anger, irritation, etc by a military personality without actually writing it.
Again, this book has the tendency to repeat certain phrases or thoughts which slowed the reading. I'm assuming this is for the female audience who normally don't read military fiction. For those of us who do, there will be parts that will be irritating, yet don't let it distract you too much from the overall story.

The supernatural elements are pretty strong and after reading the first two of the series, I expect it now. So the Tox Files are a combo of military/supernatural fiction. With that in mind, this book is good and I am eager to see how it ends. Even though this book (and most of the series) centers around Tox Russell, I would like to see Cell's story. He captured my attention more than the others.
