I was surprised to find first that this narrative was written in poems. The form and structure of the poems and the entire book is remarkable. I've shared the first 10-12 minutes with students a few times, but did not have a copy. After our First Chapter Friday, several students wanted to check it out. Unfortunately our school library only has a few copies so I bought one. I decided to read it before putting it in my classroom library and it was hard to put this book down once I picked it up.

Amazing! Highly recommend it for adults and students ... anyone who wants to better understand some of the trauma children are exposed to in our modern world.
