Better the Blood by Michael Bennett

5.0

The less you know about this book the better. The synopsis gives away things I enjoyed learning as I read.

The tension of this book is built not by the mystery of who the killer is — you learn that in the first half — but by how it makes you feel when you learn why they’re doing what they’re doing. The killer and the inner turmoil of Detective Westerman made this book addictive and propulsive.

I loved this book. I want to watch this as a dark gritty beautifully shot detective series on tv. Excited to read the next one.
