This book we heartbreakingly beautiful to read. I’m not sure I could ever fully understand how it feels to live in South America and experience the things the sisters and Lydia experienced. I can, however empathize and I think it’s important to share stories like this, of immigrants, with people who live in the desert southwest.

I am off to find more authors from Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala to read their true life accounts or their historical fiction. I feel the stories are theirs to tell.
