I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy
emotional
informative
reflective
sad
I listened to the audiobook which is narrated by the author. I saw the book all over Instagram and was like "What is this book about? I mean the tittle can't be meant that way. Or can it?". It is and it's weird to say, but I'm glad her mom died.
This memoir is brutally honest. It's disturbing and heartbreaking. I watched iCarly as a kid and I can't believe everything Jennette had to go through. I have a very strong opinion on child actors and she is just one example of a child robbed of their childhood. Her mom obviously didn't help. She was manipulative and guided her daughter into all the wrong directions. This memoir is one big trigger warning so check them out before jumping into it.
