Angelo Bianchi (who recently separated from the Italian-American mafia he was adopted into) kicks off his new membership in The Delegation–an organization for Black/mixed outcasts of crime families–with an arranged marriage request between his heir, Enzo, and Lucia to solidify alliances. Lucia gave La Femme Nikita vibes and Enzo was the perfect match as an emotionally intelligent mafioso with BDE. Plot met twists all throughout this book and were always a surprise but made complete sense in the storyline. The writing was superb. It read like a movie.
