4.5 stars.

This book is a little slow to get into but I'm not sure if that's because the first half is very religion heavy, and unfortunately that always brings me into a negative head space. But that is honestly just a personal thing and doesn't detract from how well the book is written.

The story picks up in the second half, and you really start to actually see more of who Reid is as a person, as most of the chapters written from his point of view, in the beginning, are very rigid and constricted, due to his mindset and beliefs. Lou, on the other hand, is a relateable vagabond that you can instantly connect with despite her contradicting rigidity and beliefs.

Overall I really enjoyed this story and look forward to the sequel.
