Great writing! Worth a read if only for the tale that gives the work its name. However, most stories are of strong quality, so they're worth a shot too.

I would say the eponymous tale was my favorite but I also loved the prose in the Erl-King. If for whatever reasons you can only read two, those are the ones I would recommend.
