The Wolf at the Door by Charlie Adhara
5.0
AMAZING! Why did I wait so long to start this series? Waited for a period of time when I could binge all 5 books in a row.
It exceeded my expectations, and I was expecting it to be great after reading so many glowing reviews.
The shifter side was more subdued than I'm used to (we only see Park in human form) but it didn't detract from the story, at all. I liked the newly developed slight coexisting between humans and werewolves (that's what they are referred as), the corrupt politics, the small town vibes, the prejudices, the whodunnit.
The writing was the perfect balance of descriptive and emotional. Beautiful storytelling. Fingers crossed for a bit more steam in the next one.
