Nostromo: A Tale of the Seaboard by Joseph Conrad

Did not finish book. Stopped at 16%.
After 70 pages I still had no idea what the plot was about. I love Conrad, Heart of Darkness was spectacular, but I can't go through another 420 pages if this.
