The Summer Girl by Elle Kennedy
4.0
I somehow read the Avalon Bay series out of order reading this one second. Classic!
Sometimes, you pick up a book at the exact right moment, and any other time, it wouldn't have hit the same. That's this book for me.
I put this one down for a couple of days. It wasn't the books fault. I'm just a mood reader trying her best. After picking it back up, I found I really liked it. The characters had depth, I love the reoccurring characters from book 1. The banter in this one was so fun, I liked these 2 more than Mackenzie and Cooper.
Cassie's relationship with her mother is so relatable to anyone who has a narcissistic mother. When Cassie stood up for herself, I was proud of her, knowing how hard that is and knowing she's a fictional character.
