Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott

4.0

So this book is about two people, Stella and Will, who have cystic fibrosis. People with cystic fibrosis can't get too close to each other because they could get each other's "germs" if you will. This leaves Stella and Will to stay 6 (or 5) feet apart from each other at all times. Their growing love for each other, and the stresses of having cystic fibrosis kinda sets them off to enjoy their lives in the moment.

This book was kinda slow for me in the beginning. It picked up in the middle or so. There were definitely some very emotional parts in this book. Overall though, I felt that the book was just missing some "mmph" or idk maybe it was just me. I didn't expect the ending at all, and it felt a little fast paced.

I did love the fact that this book spotlighted a very impactful illness that so many people are affected with. I myself have asthma, and I thought I had it bad. I feel more knowledgeable about cystic fibrosis and how it can impact someone with it.
