"I was made to love him, and that's exactly what I'll spend the rest of the time doing."
A vampire book that had me curious to where this was going, this was a good one.
The chemistry between Yannis & Hale was at first stunted to me. Not forced but also just kind of lingered there in between them.
Although this was a good read and I love vampire books this one seemed to be missing something.
Don't get me wrong it's a good book and it flows great but there is a rushing vibe to it when it comes to the relationship that builds between the MC's.
Add in the conflict of 2 "villians" and it kind of goes south from there.
Definitely there was things that could have been expanded more on but that may just be me and wanting more in the development of these characters stories as well as their HEA.
The first half of this book was great, it went into detail and gave the "world building" that this new series needs especially if it is a spin off from another series. The second half of the book fell flat and it was around the time that Yannis & Hale get together when it should get more interesting instead of stale and almost too predictable.
It was a good book but there was much missing and more that could be built on to make it very good and even more enjoyable.
