“This is what’s it’s about, right here. Open desert, flat to the horizon, blue sky, red dirt and you.”

I don’t know why I didn’t review the rest of this series when I first listened to it, but oh well. Will do it now that I’m relistening.

I really am a massive fan of Travis. Both MCs are great, I’ve just got a big soft spot for Travis. He’s so damn genuine, open and honest. He’s buckets better at communicating than Charlie, which is a big theme throughout this one. There’s no annoying miscommunication or that kinda thing, just a man who never learned that he could speak his mind or talk about feelings. It’s overall very sweet, but Charlie and Travis are definitely feeling the effects of only knowing each other 4 weeks, and then living *and* working together for 6 months straight, lol.

These books will also get you in the feels. As I was listening to the last couple chapters last night, I had silent tears streaming down my face like I was starring in a sad music video, lol. I recommend this series so damn much. It really has got everything, and N. R. Walker is extremely high up on my list of favorite authors.
