You Should Have Left by Daniel Kehlmann
4.0
4/5 — it’s a rather horrifying experience to be so scared and yet have no clue what’s causing it.
this book is a mindfuck! i don’t understand it, but i was terrified all the same. i kept looking over my shoulder and felt like i was being watched. the carefully cultivated literary landscape filled me with unease, slowly, so when i was really scared, it was too late. much like how the narrator felt.
it’s a 4 instead of a 5 because i didn’t understand it fully, but it creeped me out!!!!!!
