Willing Captive by Belle Aurora
5.0
4.5 stars - ARC received for honest review
Delilah (don't call her that or she might kick your arse - and give you a fantastic reason why not to call her that at the same time) "Lily" Flynn has lead an extremely sheltered life. In her early 20s, her and her sister Terah are practically under house arrest by their over protective father. Lily's life consists of going from home to work, work to home.
While Terah sneaks out for her fun, Lily isn't that way inclined, and loses herself in her romance and smut books.
Their parents have advised the girls that there is some trouble with the family business and that he needs to keep them close.
Not long after this conversation, both Terah and Lily are kidnapped - or are they?
Nox, Boo and Rock are Lily's kidnappers - who don't really act like kidnappers. There is a twist in this kindnapping tale. And when Lily finds out, she likes to make their lives a living hell
Now where do we start with Nox? Super hot, super sweet alpha male. And being locked up in a safe house with him, not surprising it doesn't take long for things to heat up
Lily just steals the show for me. Smart, sassy, witty, sometimes just outright hilarious - the scene where she gives the guys her shopping list is laugh out loud funny (and come on girls, we have all done it to our guys).
There are a couple of twists and turns in Willing Captive that will have you going WTF??
I laughed, I cried, I wanted to bitch slap and I wanted to hug it out
The secondary characters - particularly Boo and Rock as they are the ones we deal with most - are well written and round out Nox and Lily's story well. I would love to read more about them, along with more of Terah and Jon.
I have previously read Belle Aurora's Friend Zoned series, and really enjoy her writing. She writes with a wit and charm that many try for and don't quite get.
And yep, I wasn't wrong. I LOVED it. Thank you Belle for taking us on another fantastic adventure
