A Spoonful Of Murder by J.M. Hall
1.0
I really wanted to like this book. I love Richard Osman's books and there was a similarity mentioned on the cover. Unfortunately any similarity is wishful thinking because I really did not enjoy this book at all. The only similarity is that there are some old people involved. My biggest problem with the story was that the three main characters are so similar, and their voices basically identical, that you have absolutely no clue who is speaking most of the time. The characters are also written as very elderly but they're not, they're in their early sixties with relatively young families and husbands. The whole plot is so dull and slow and yet not at all relaxing. Because you have to really think about who is talking due to the aforementioned sameness, the whole thing is stressful.
I definitely won't be reading any more of this series.
