Middle of the Night by Riley Sager

4.0

Overall, this was a pretty solid read! I read this as soon as I could get my hands on it (thank you local indie bookstore), and it was an entertaining quick read.

I love the “is it a ghost?” vibes and very atmospheric nature of this one. Who knew backyards could be so scary?! The ending wasn’t one I fully saw coming, which is always a bonus.

I’ve seen mixed reviews, but I think the biggest comment I saw was that it was a slow burn. But I think it was done on purpose for this book.

I think what I liked most about this book is how different it was than Sager’s other books. I actually shed a tear - while reading a thriller?!
