a lot of eir's experiences with gender growing up are ones I experienced myself and having something like this book would've made so much of my journey growing up so much easier. my only complaint, really, is that it went back & forth in time a bit so felt a smidge disjointed at times, as well as the kind of abrupt ending.
but it was engaging, informative, heartbreaking, & wonderful, all at once. love maia's art style.
