I’ve been a fan of Ashton since the first book where he snatched up Harlym’s phone and told her on-and-off jailbird boyfriend (Cam) to “go back to bed and stop calling from his doo-doo butt phone.” In this book, she and Ashton gave in to their chemistry and found themselves tied to one another but not without obstacles and secrets. The back and forth went on for almost 90% of the book–no exaggeration. Ash knew his worth but was open arms when Har stopped playing games and found hers. He was open and honest but refused to be a doormat for someone unwilling to let their walls down. This was well-written but exhausting.
