This was a lovely read! You’d think that two characters who are just nice, normal people would be boring but the emotional buildup was really satisfying. Most of the drama came from life circumstances, not the main characters being jerks to each other. I like that the book touches on some heavy themes (abusive relationships, a family member in prison) without leeching any of the joy from the novel; bad things can happen to good people, but it’s possible to find happiness in spite of it. Leon’s chapters were also really funny - the short, matter of fact writing style was a lot of fun to read.
