Between this book and the first book of the Carnage series, I have no clue which one is sadder! They were just so intense, and I had so many WTF moments! But I was just so sure that moment would be like a dream or didn't happen like it did! It was just intense! Then we did a considerable time jump and finally got to see a kick-ass Cecelia! I have to say, when she was younger, she got on my nerves cause all she would do was whine! But I loved seeing that robust version play out and learning more about what was going on with this whole society they were creating.
