The Help by Kathryn Stockett

”Do you ever wish you could... change things?”

There really isn’t much I can say about this book that hasn’t already been said. I actually listened to the audiobook at work and it’s hands down one of the best audiobooks I’ve ever experienced. I checked out the physical book too, and I think if I’d read it, the stereotypical, uneducated black dialect might have been off putting, but listening to it made it feel so much more real (not forced or condescending).

Such a beautiful story. It’s so important to read about tough topics like this - to step into a life that you will never live, and experience it first hand. I’m so happy I finally read this (it’s been on my TBR shelf since 2012
