First of all, this book was too long. Second, the main character drove me nuts. She had no plans and made dumb decisions. Third,

why did we have to go through the whole betrayal of trust and subsequent reconciliation not once, but TWICE. Girl, YOU KNEW IT WAS COMING.

. The whole book felt like it was written specifically for the spicy scenes, and more specifically for certain lines WITHIN the spicy scenes. The writing wasn't even bad, and the high concept of this book could have been interesting with the elves vs gods and the possibility of ascension and all that. Unfortunately, it was simply too annoying for my taste.
