Duck, Death and the Tulip by Wolf Erlbruch

4.0

I checked this out of the library because I read it while we were still in the library, and it made me cry.

Duck & Death have such a sweet, gentle relationship. I've never come across a picture book like this one, that personifies Death in such a tangible way. Death is not terrifying, but is just....there. Death is ready for us when it is the right time. And Death does not have to be traumatic, or horrific. Sometimes, it just comes upon us, and it gently lays us in the river to rest.

Overall, this concept went way over my daughter's head, but I will not be forgetting this book anytime soon.
