The beginning over the book felt like the start of a romance novel. So I was pleasantly surprised to know that our female MC Lana was sort of a vigilante because of her revenge killing. The reason behind her being a serial killer was genuinely heartbreaking and gore-y (read the TW’s) so I don’t blame her for becoming a serial killer. Then comes in the male MC who just so happens to be the FBI Agent assigned to solve her murders. We see their romance bloom and how Lana feels about lying to him while Logan remains oblivious to her secret life. I loved seeing their chemistry as a couple and the few steamy scenes were well written which I appreciate as a reader. Lana and Logan got their HEA and the present he got her for their anniversary in the epilogue was humorous but also shows how much he understands her and her need to fight the bad guys.
