This was a complex, gripping and twisted read! I didn’t realise until part way through the book that this is actually the 3rd book in the DI Hart series… however it could easily be read as a standalone without reading the first two books.

I really enjoyed this book, there was plenty of twists and turned that kept me guessing throughout the whole book. The story is told from multiple POVs, at first I didn’t understand the need for some of the points of view, but everything started to click and fall into place as I read. The book does also cover some tough topics including domestic slavery, drugs etc. so I would suggest looking at the trigger warnings just in case.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys police procedural reads and reads that keep you guessing until the end. Can’t wait to read the first two books in the series!
