The Bastard and the Heir by Eden Finley, Saxon James
4.0
LISTEN TO ME.
A BABY DOES NOT MAKE A HAPPY ENDING.
Jesus Christ people.
Will update my review later. I’m still a little hot about this epilogue
Edit:
Ok. I’ve settled down.
This was a five star book if you overlooked that epilogue (barf) and the fact that there was little to no pushback over the big secret reveal. I needed more anger out of that situation. But otherwise this was great. FR.
The angst was SO angsty and sad sad sad
The pining was top notch. The tension was palpable and the baddies were really unlikable which I liked. Lol
I liked the found family-esque-ness of this book.
The characters were well thought out and all have good chemistry. I would have loved more backstory for Wren but I think some of that was due to the pacing getting a little wonky here and there.
I like this book a lot and I would love to get Remys POVa. I liked the world that was created for the reader and I liked that Darcy got his HEA
