There's a reason it's a classic of the genre. Anyone who cares anything about science-fiction, climate-fiction, or stories with female protagonists or protagonists of color should strongly consider this as a read. The only flaw is that Butler was not recognized when she was alive as one of the best authors of the 20th century.
