The Haunting Season: Ghostly Tales for Long Winter Nights by Bridget Collins
dark
mysterious
fast-paced
- Strong character development? No
4.75
There are several stories in this book, and so not all of them will be a hit but the ones that I enjoyed I thoroughly enjoyed. The worst one for me was actually the last, which kind of soured the whole book for me for a while, but I ended up really enjoying it.
The ghost stories were spooky and contained surprisingly cozy elements! Reading this felt comfortable until the horrible, ghostly things started happening. There was a really interesting mix of characters in different parts of their life.
