i wish i could invent a sixth star, just for this book. i can’t even begin to put into words how beautiful this was. 

i was unfamiliar with both patti smith and robert mapplethorpe going into this, and oh my god was it easy to fall in love. their relationship was so precious, i am touched. the bond they had could not be replicated. my thoughts right now don’t even begin to scratch the surface of the emotion this book evoked in me. 

i’ll cherish this forever. a story so beautiful that it only makes sense to believe in fate and soulmates. just so magnificent.
