Walk Through Fire: A Memoir of Love, Loss, and Triumph by Sheila Johnson

inspiring

5.0

As an older millennial, it was nostalgic to hear her talk about her upstart contributions to BET. Sheila is exceptional and that man has never NOT played in her face, which makes her achievements–before, during, and after their marriage–even more outstanding. The main takeaways for me are: love yourself and if you let ANYONE shenan–, they’ll shenanigan! I highly recommend the audio format. I was locked in listening to the tea and talking to her like she could hear me: “And THEN what happened, Sheila?”
