Oh.my.GOD. This is my first Stephanie Garber book and I finally picked this up a couple months after my best friend recommended it to me and it definitely exceeded my expectations! I loved the plot and the mystery/fantasy aspects of the story because it made the twists and turns that much more enjoyable. It was written in a way where the reader could truly feel everything the characters do from the happiness, betrayal, sadness, and more. I also loved the Latin representation depicted in the story since it helped me feel more connected to the characters as a Latin woman myself :) I definitely recommend this book for anyone debating about picking it up and I cannot wait to start the second one!
