A fantastic follow up to the first book. This one has the same beautiful prose and amazing character relationships and development. I love seeing them all come together, mix, and then split up again. I honestly kind of love where this ended up with Narampa and her decision to

not be ruled by the god that inhabits her.

I can't wait for Serapio to realize that too and for them to work together to create a new governing system for their world and take out the real problem to progress, the Eagle clan.
