I'm amazed at how much story, plot, character and theme development is in such a short book. While never feeling rushed or undeveloped. A small book that covers race, racism, pain, friendship, identity, belonging and betrayal. Perfectly executed with amazing writing and prose. This has the flavour of The Great Gatsby but is written better and with more soul.
